Composing with metropolis ark 14/2/2024 ![]() I eventually bought an SSD just to run BBCSO and though the load times dramatically decreased (down to 3 minutes) swapping microphones positions still saw enough of a buffering time that it started to feel sluggish. ![]() I do take issue with that especially because of how well Kontakt libraries run on Hard Drives (I run all of Ark on a Hard Drive with no issue). That time saw some improvement on 1.2 but absolutely unusable on Hard Drive. The projects would open fast, but instruments would buffer for 30 minutes. They have links to very useful templates for every DAW and that template would take 30 minutes to be functional. I realize that it is the standard to run them on SSDs but for a while I didn't have the means to make it happen. I actually got it at like 60% off? And even at that I wish I would have bought something else.įirst issue is: it is absolutely unusable on a Hard Drive. ![]() My issues are largely functionality and though I think I might be in the minority, I just wanted to provide another point of view as it's a very expensive purchase. I've had it since release as I actually purchased it at the discounted rate for pre-release or whatever. ![]()
